SMI Stay-In-Play Duo

|
This braking system is utilized with towed vehicles that are towed by a hydraulic brake equipped RV’s.
If the coach does not have air brakes then this is the braking system
to use. This would include most Gas and Light Duty diesel RV’s.
The SMI Stay and Play Duo produces vacuum for the towed vehicle’s
power brake booster and uses air pressure to apply the brake (DUO). The
system monitors the RV brake wiring and utilizes the changes in the
forward motion of the vehicle (G-Force) to activate the brake in the
towed vehicle. The Stay and Play Duo utilizes a small air cylinder,
permanently mounted in an out-of-the-way location on the brake pedal arm
of the towed vehicle to activate the brake. A break-away system and
monitor light (to monitor braking action in the towed vehicle) are
included. Five year SMI warranty and full installation instructions are included. This Duo system can be installed by the average back yard mechanic, often in about 3 to 4 hours.

SMI Air Force One

|
The
Air Force One Braking System is utilized with towed vehicles that are
towed by an air brake equipped RV. If the coach has air brakes, then
this is the braking system to use. This would include most diesel RV’s.
The
system utilizes an approved air tap into an air line from the
compressor of the coach to feed a small amount of air to the towed
vehicle. The rear brake control system is monitored to determine when
and how much air to apply to the towed vehicle’s brake. The air is fed between the RV and Towed vehicle through a coiled quick disconnect equipped ¼” (6mm) airline. The Air Force One Brake System produces vacuum for the towed vehicle’s
Power Brake booster and it utilizes a small air cylinder, permanently
mounted in an out-of-the-way location on the brake pedal arm of the
towed vehicle to activate the brake. (It will operate brakes in
non-vacuum brake (i.e. Hydro-Boost vehicles). A break-away system and monitor light (to monitor braking action in the towed vehicle) are included. Five year SMI warranty and full installation instructions are included. This Air Force One Brake System can be installed by the average back yard mechanic, typically in about 4 to 6 hours.*
*Some
States or Provinces may preclude the final installation of the air
lines to the coach braking system by anyone not holding a valid air
brake license.

RVi Brake System
|
![[object HTMLInputElement] [object HTMLInputElement]](http://rv-partsplus.com/images/Product%20Images/RVi%20Brake.jpg)
|
There
are RVers that do not want to bother with installing a braking system,
yet they want a simple to set-up, compact braking system that can easily
be moved from vehicle to vehicle. That system is the RVi Brake. Other
than installing a breakaway system, this unit is easily moved and setup.
Simply lay it down on the floor in front of the Driver’s
seat, clip the actuator onto the brake pedal, plug the 12 volt adapter
into the 12 volt receptacle of the towed vehicle and push the green
Auto-start button on the control panel. The RVi Brake’s One-Touch Auto Positioning System depresses the towed vehicle’s brake pedal to adjust itself and bleed off the vacuum stored in the power brake booster.
The
setup depends on the seat pan rather than the seat cushion for
positioning. This means no damage to the seats. Its diminutive size
(compared to other “braking box”
systems) makes it very portable and easy to install and remove. The
included wireless remote control, monitors the system and allows
adjustments on the fly. Braking is proportional so when the RV is
lightly braked, the towed vehicle brakes are lightly applied. Panic
stopping the RV, results in a panic stop of the tow vehicle. Suggested
